ELEMENTARY SCIENCE (K-5TH GRADE):

Our elementary tutoring focuses on the fundamentals of science which include but are not limited to: introduction to key scientific concepts, distinguishing between living and non-living things, understanding the earth’s solar system, and developing scientific investigative skills.

Our experienced science tutors personally tailor their lessons to follow the student’s suject area curriculum including the state of the art STEM program which focuses on Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) to optimize a child’s science learning experience.

MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE (6TH-8TH GRADE):

Our middle school tutoring is focused primarily on three topics: Earth and Space Science, Life Science, and Physical Science.

• Earth and space science focuses on Earth’s structure, geologic processes, plate tectonics, oceans and the water cycle, Earth’s atmosphere, weather and climate, our solar system, stars, and galaxies. Students also investigate how the motions of the sun, the moon, and Earth create days, seasons, years, eclipses, phases of the moon, and tides.
• Life Science includes materials covering the characteristics of living things, plant and animal cell structures, the characteristics of unicellular and multicellular life, genetics, classification of organisms, the structure and function of human cells tissues organs and organ systems, and the structure and function of plants.
• Physical Science includes materials covering chemistry and physics, including physical and chemical changes, atoms and elements, mixtures and solutions, the periodic table, states of matter, motion, gravity, density and buoyancy, energy, heat, the properties of waves, and light

ELEMENTARY MATH (K-5TH GRADE):

Our elementary tutoring incorporates many fundamental concepts that range from simple to more complex mathematical operations. Topics include: addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, understanding fractions and geometric figures.

Our experienced math tutors personally tailor their lessons to follow the student’s subject area curriculum.

MIDDLE SCHOOL MATH (6TH-8TH GRADE):

Our middle school tutoring focuses on the more tricky and complex mathematical topics such as: understanding linear equations, problem solving involving scale, pre-algebra, statistics, probability and geometry.
